Gabriel has over 15 years professional experience in offering auditing, accounting and tax services. He has worked both in professional services environment and industry environment looking after the company’s tax affairs, enterprise risk management and assurance. His work in the industry also involved advising management and supporting the commercial and planning teams with respect to tax assurance matters.

He has advised multinational and national organizations across several sectors including Oil & Gas Mining, Energy and Utilities, Telecommunication, Service Sector, Financial Services, Infrastructure, Consumer and Industrial Products and Non-Governmental Organizations regarding tax structuring and tax planning. He guided a 10 member Mergers and Acquisition team to deliver expansion strategy within East Africa including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia and Ethiopia. He advised private equity entities and venture capital funds on inward acquisitions and investments in Africa.

Gabriel has experience in leading transfer pricing documentation assignments including the completion of Group Transfer Pricing  Policy in line with the OECD Guidelines for various multinationals. He has lead projects in tax reforms and tax process improvement for multinational companies. He has broad management experience and expertise in international tax risk governance framework, strategic, operational, and financial decision making.

Gabriel started his career with PwC Kenya in 2008. He has worked in various capacities with PwC Kenya and PwC Ghana and rose to the position of Senior Manager. Gabriel has also lead the Tax Function for d.light Group Inc. and Tullow Kenya.

Gabriel is a Fellow Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Member Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Mechanics of Project Finance from Middlesex University. He also has an Advance Diploma in International Tax from Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) UK.  He also holds an Advance Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA UK.
